Why the State Cup?
Basketball in England is very young and without a true structure at a grassroots level. As Somerset State continues to develop, we believe we will be able to help grow the sport for all. Our NEW Somerset State Cup is our next step in providing more basketball game opportunities to our players, whilst providing competition between our coaching centres who wouldn't ordinarily meet. This is also a fantastic opportunity for our coaches to see where there players are in their learning journey... MAY THE BATTLE OF THE CENTRES COMMENCE!

- COST: £25 per player (Limited spaces per age group)
- You don't need to be available all summer to participate.
- Coaching Centres taking part: Midsomer Norton & Wells
- Available for U10's, U12's & U14's
- Days of games: Wednesday Evenings
- Game Timings: 5:30pm-6:30pm & 6:30pm-7:30pm
- Friends & Family welcome to watch all games

Our team of experienced coaches will be hosting and officiating our Somerset State Cup, ensuring a fantastic learning environment for all players to continue to develop and express themselves on the court.
Tournament Structure
If an age group team wins, these points go towards the coaching venue's overall points.
Age Group Games:
Yr4/5's v Yr4/5's
Yr6/7's v Yr6/7's
Yr8/9's v Yr8/9's
WIN = 3 points
LOSS = 1 point
(No draw in games - Golden Basket)
4x 12 minute quarters

Pricing Structure Adjustment
Unfortunately due to rising costs we will be rising our Somerset State and Evolution Netball prices by £1.50 per session from January 1st 2025.
Players will receive another email regarding this in December.
